One of the challenges which associations face, is how to ensure their members know what is
happening. This was the case for the Storage Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (SEMA).
Following a questionnaire sent out to their members, they realised that even though there
was a lot of marketing activity going on, none of their members knew about it.
This had led to low satisfaction with the association. The idea was simple – send out a
newsletter every quarter to update on SEMA news. The newsletter features current industry
topics and receives positive engagement rate. Even more importantly member satisfaction
levels have doubled!
