Becky Green
Director
What is your story in Aura PR?
Hi, I’m Becky, Director at Aura PR and I have been running the company since October 2019. I first joined the company when it was under the leadership of the previous owner. At the time I needed a role with the flexibility to work around my children but also stay within the area I love – PR and marketing.
I was incredibly lucky to work with an excellent boss who quickly spotted my skills and saw the benefit of allowing my role to develop. During this time, I grew my position from Marketing Executive and then into the Marketing Account Manager position. Over the years we worked for some great clients on a diverse range of projects from driving PR opportunities, building website, crafting award entries and creating dynamic CPD presentations.
Going from being the employee at Aura PR to the owner was a very sudden venture. At the time it was a case of sink or swim, so I rolled up my sleeves and got stuck in. The journey has been eventful at times but above all else it’s incredibly rewarding.
What are your experiences and skills?
Most people probably don’t know that I left university with a degree in graphic design – a skill and knowledge which certainly helps a lot in the diverse world of marketing and PR which requires a multitude of skills. My first ‘proper’ role in the world of marketing started with a large housing association covering the East Midlands area. I was taken on as a marketing and design assistant. It was here that I started to discover my love for marketing and during my time with the company I was able to complete my marketing qualification with CIM – a process which has been invaluable throughout my career.
Jump forward one marriage and two kids and a whole lot of water under the bridge and I find myself working at Aura PR.
What does being the director of AURA PR mean to you?
I love the fact that I get to work with such a wide range of clients which also means we get to cover diverse topics – anything from how to save bumblebees to the technicalities of installing pallet racking safely. Every day brings a new challenge and a different perspective and, as the marketing and PR industry changes, we are constantly learning to ensure we stay on top of all the possibilities open for our clients.
I still love the buzz I get when we take a new client on board and I get to thoroughly research their industry, customer base and identify new opportunities.
Hobbies & interests
When I’m not juggling my hectic work schedule and running around after two kids there isn’t a whole lot of time to spare. We have an adorable cockapoo called Fred and my relaxation time is out treading the fields and giving myself the time to mull over ideas – you’d be amazed at how many blog posts I’ve written on a dog walk!
My happiest moments are cooking up a good meal, getting the family round and having a good chat. I’m also a film fanatic and can pretty much get involved with any genre or style of film (just don’t ask me to watch a western). I can also join a film halfway through and it won’t bother me that I haven’t watched the beginning (much to my husband’s disgust). Last of all give me a good book and a relaxing holiday in a new country and I’m in heaven.
Jasmine Briggs
Marketing & PR Executive
Hey, I’m Jasmine. Nice to meet you!
I’m the Marketing and PR executive for AURA PR! I joined the company back in July 2023 and since then, I have been working alongside Becky and learning all about the different clients we work for. Being 25, I would say I am quite young for my role but that doesn’t stop me from producing the very best work. I see it as an advantage, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the agency as well as full of energy to push AURA PR in the right direction!
But why AURA PR? To be honest, my interest sparked when I knew the agency takes the time to get to know their clients and their businesses. For me, building customer relationships is the core value of my marketing journey, it’s become a crucial part for me to produce the very best work and confidently bring stories to life. Plus, to add on top of that, Becky is the loveliest boss I could ask for. She’s been extremely supportive throughout my time here and has played a big part in developing my skills and expertise.
What has been your major achievement in AURA PR?
I would say my major achievement so far would be producing and launching the new branding for AURA PR. Yep, that’s right I’ve been behind all the design and themes for this website and our posts. From the very beginning, my goal was to put a new spin on the agency, bringing in a friendly and approachable energy that would uplift people’s perspective on PR and Marketing. For us, it’s more than just getting content out there as that’s just dead time to the client’s retainer! At AURA PR, it’s all about delivering value, being creative, and adding exciting and fresh ideas that will get the media coverage they deserve.
Hobbies and Interests
Well, first of all, I’m bilingual and can speak both Thai and English fluently. Growing up with both cultures I can definitely say that it’s given me a bigger picture of life, which I do use and apply a lot within my work. I suppose it’s been a great influence on being an innovative/out-of-the-box thinker.
On a less serious note, I am absolutely obsessed with food! I love all food, and cuisines and am very adventurous with it too. Though, I’ve got to admit my all-time favourite would be Sushi! I could literally have it every day!
I can also say I’m a big disniac! Watching Disney films just makes me so happy, it’s nostalgic, positive and so much fun! So, if you see us use words like ‘magic’, ‘shine’, and ‘fly’ you’ll now know that it’s my disniac kicking in.
